I really had to search deep for something to write about.

Ah!
I’ll always fail professionally unless I work for myself. I’m a nightmare to work with. There is absolutely no compromise.
I learned the hard way that yes men get ran over. I was a yes man until I was 24. I broke my back on a piece of construction equipment when a boss came out and had a meeting with all of us that we had to work faster.
Faster = error. Always.
After 2 weeks in the hospital, 6 months of recovery, the yes man died.
Don’t get me wrong. My work ethic is strong. I wouldn’t still be working two jobs in this economy if it wasn’t, but if you get involved in my work I will tell you in this exact language: “Eyes on your own paper”. I’ve done it many to times to the shock of executives.
I even come off with an ego in an interview. No compromise. You’ll see me like this everyday so you might as well he used to it on the first day.
So I think I’m done. I want to work for myself, be a writer and do my own thing. Its about time. A 401k is as impressive as words in the wind.
